Was this cute or corny?

So to ask my girlfriend on a date before I left on vacation I made like an invite ticket for a date and put it in her mailbox with her name on it. On the front it said "Picnic & The Gordons Friday June 17th, 2011 Starts at 7pm Ticket For Two, So Bring A Date" (gordons is a local music concert every Friday) then on the back I put "Just bring that sweet personality, your lovely smile, and your date!" what do you guys think?
