What problems would I run into getting my wife legalized as a US resident(green card)?

if she doesn't have TPS at this point, the discussion is over. she entered illegally, and she'll need to leave to have an immigrant visa interview back home, once your petition is processed and approved. she'll need to apply for a waiver as well, due to her illegal stay.
