Temporaly Protected Status for El Salvadore ( TPS )?

I had TPS since 2001 and every year like law requires it I re-register for my I-765. Last september I sent my application and nothing happen. I called and they kept saying they have automatic 6 months extension not to worry. Finally last night I checked my mail and received a card for 3 months only. Its says in the paper that they are still reviewing my case, it never taken so long. I'm scared they going to deport me, because the same thing happened to a friend. She received a final letter that tells to go in front of an immigration judge and she was ordered to leave the country within a week. I have assets here, i will need to unload them asap. Does anyone went thru the same in here? Any ideas why would they do that? I'm peeing my pants!
